Dana White says he is about to begin focusing his attention on planning the UFC’s anticipated event expected to take place at the White House later this year.
The UFC president told Sportsnet this week in Las Vegas he doesn’t know whether the card will be a Fight Night, numbered card, or a special standalone event, but did suggest it will be special regardless.
White explained that he and his team have been busy focusing on UFC 324, which serves as the organization’s debut on Paramount+ in the United States, plus the launch of Zuffa Boxing but explained that after UFC 324 is in the rearview mirror he will turn his attention to the White House.
“We will be focused on nothing next week but the White House,” White told Diana Belbita.
The UFC has yet to confirm a date for the event, which was first proposed by Donald Trump during a speech he was giving on July 4 last year to commemorate the upcoming 250th anniversary of American independence.
No fighters have been confirmed for the card but many star fighters have been campaigning for a spot at the unique event, which is reportedly being targeted for June.
When asked about expectations for this event in comparison to past blockbuster events like 2024’s UFC 300 or UFC 306 at the Sphere, White said: “I think this is going to be the biggest event ever done. By a long shot.”
Meanwhile, north of the border, White also said during the interview that the UFC will be returning to Canada at some point in 2026 but didn’t specify which month or which city. The UFC held two events in Canada in 2025: UFC 315 in Montreal in May and a UFC Fight Night in Vancouver in October.
