Dominick Reyes said Saturday his bout against Carlos Ulberg at UFC 297 has been cancelled due to an injury sustained by the latter.
The fight was on the preliminary card of the event, set to take place on Jan. 20 at Toronto's Scotiabank Arena.
"Hey Everyone My Fight Jan 20 has been called off due to my opponent's 'injury'," posted Reyes, who is American, to his Instagram feed, putting "injury" in quote marks. "We are currently looking at options or rescheduling."
Reyes (12-4-0) was to fight Ulberg (10-1-0) in the light heavyweight class.
