After successfully defending his UFC flyweight title in spectacular fashion just three weeks ago, Deiveson Figueiredo will put his belt on the line again on Saturday as he takes on Brandon Moreno at UFC 256 as a heavy -325 favourite on the UFC odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.
“God of War” dominated in his first-ever title defence, claiming a victory by submission just 117 seconds into his clash with Alex Perez at UFC 255, and now takes a five-fight win streak into Saturday night’s match at UFC APEX.
Figueiredo has made short work of opponents during his current win streak. His victory over Perez as a -300 favourite at sports betting sites marked his third opening-round victory in his past four outings, a run that has featured consecutive wins over former champion Joseph Benavidez. Overall, the 32-year-old Brazilian has finished opponents in seven of 10 octagon appearances since joining the UFC three years ago, with his lone career defeat coming by unanimous decision against Jussier Formaga at UFC Fight Night 148.
The top-ranked contender in the UFC flyweight division, Moreno looks to his first UFC championship bid as a +250 underdog. Like Figueiredo, “The Assassin Baby” returns to action on short rest after earning a first-round TKO win over Brandon Royval at UFC 255 to pay out on -165 odds. A submission specialist early in his career, Moreno recorded first-round finishes in seven of his first 15 professional fights. However, the 27-year-old Mexican has seen six of his first 10 UFC matchups get decided by the judges, compiling a 3-2-1 record during that stretch.

Earlier on Saturday, Tony Ferguson looks to rebound from his recent failed bid to reclaim the interim UFC lightweight crown as he takes on Charles Oliveira as -170 chalk. “El Cucuy” suffered a fifth-round TKO loss to Justin Gaethje while sporting short -260 odds in their recent battle for the belt at UFC 249, ending a 12-fight win streak. However, the clash was recognized as the Fight of the Night, earning Ferguson his eighth performance bonus in nine octagon appearances.
Oliveira aims to record an eighth straight victory as he returns to action as a +140 underdog. The 31-year-old Brazilian has been dominant during the longest win streak of his UFC career, forcing five of his past seven opponents to tap out, and setting the UFC record for the most career submission wins with 14 to date.
Elsewhere on the UFC 256 odds, submission specialists clash as Mackenzie Dern battles Virna Jandiroba as -200 chalk in women’s strawweight action, while Jacare Souza faces fellow middleweight Kevin Holland as a -120 favourite.
