The UFC is making its way back to Toronto.
The promotion announced on Saturday that it'll host UFC 336 at Scotiabank Arena on Jan. 30, 2027.
It'll mark their eighth trip to Toronto all-time and the first since UFC 297: Sean Strickland vs. Dricus Du Plessis in Jan. 2024, while standing as the 39th Canadian event under the banner.
The announcement was made during the UFC's Fight Night card at Edmonton's Rogers Arena, where a record 12 Canadians competed on home soil.
While the promotion has yet to announce a headline bout, rumours online have been swirling about welterweight champion Islam Makhachev defending his title against No. 1 contender Carlos Prates for the main event.
It would be a blockbuster matchup and mark the Dagestani belt-holder's first fight since August — sitting on a 17-fight win streak and an 18-1-0 record in the UFC. Prates (7-1-0) would certainly offer Makhachev a strong opponent for his second title defence, riding a three-fight win streak all by TKO's that each earned the Brazilian performance of the night bonuses
