A welterweight bout between experienced veterans Vicente Luque and Kevin Holland was added to the upcoming UFC 316 card.
The organization announced the 170-pound matchup Friday.
Brazil’s Luque is the No. 14-ranked contender in the division coming off a 52-second submission win over Themba Gorimbo at UFC 310 this past December.
Texas’s Holland got back in the win column in March with a unanimous decision over Gunnar Nelson at a UFC Fight Night event in London, England that snapped a two-fight skid.
Luque (23-10-1) is 33 years old with 22 UFC appearances since 2015, while Holland (27-13, 1NC) is 32 with 25 UFC appearances since 2018.
UFC 316 takes place June 7 at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., and is headlined by Merab Dvalishvili vs. Sean O’Malley in a bantamweight championship rematch.
The co-main event sees Kayla Harrison challenge Julianna Pena for the women’s bantamweight title.
A men’s bantamweight contest between one-time title challenger Marlon Vera and the streaking Mario Bautista was also added to the card, as was a men’s flyweight bout between Bruno Silva and Joshua Van.
