Dinos’ Adam Sinagra leads West over East in U Sports East-West Bowl

OTTAWA — Calgary Dinos quarterback Adam Sinagra threw for 320 yards and two touchdowns to help the West to a 35-17 victory over the East on Saturday in the U Sports East-West Bowl.

Manitoba pivot Des Catellier was 13 of 17 with a touchdown and two interceptions as the West won the top prospects game for a fourth straight year.

Receivers Kian Schaffer-Baker of Guelph, Macho Bockru of Manitoba and Tyler Ternowski of Waterloo caught TD passes while Waterloo’s Dion Pellerin and York’s Kayden Johnson added rushing touchdowns.

Acadia quarterback Hunter Guenard threw 146 yards for a TD and an interception for the East team.

Vanier Cup champion Glen Constantin of Laval coached the East team while Western’s Greg Marshall, the Vanier Cup runner-up, coached the West team.

The game marked the 17th East-West Bowl. It was first held in 2003.
