Brayden Edwards had a goal and two assists as the Lethbridge Hurricanes defeated the Calgary Hitmen 3-1 in Game 7 on Wednesday to advance to the Western Hockey League eastern conference championship series.
The Hurricanes will make their first appearance in the conference championship series since 2018 and are set to meet the Medicine Hat Tigers.
Logan Wormald and Luke Cozens also scored for Lethbridge, which got 34 saves from Jackson Unger.
David Adaszynski had the lone goal for Calgary. Anders Miller stopped 22-of-25 shots.
Wormald scored the go-ahead marker with 2:28 left in the opening frame in response to Adaszynski's goal at 12:48.
Cozens sealed the victory 3:33 into the third period despite Calgary having outshot Lethbridge 19-7 in the frame.
