WHL Roundup: Doyle scores twice as Hurricanes beat Warriors

LETHBRIDGE — Tristen Doyle and Leo Braillard scored twice each as the Lethbridge Hurricanes topped the Moose Jaw Warriors 6-3.

Miguel Marques and Logan Wormald had a goal each for Lethbridge.

Hurricanes goaltender Harrison Meneghin saved 31 shots in the win.

Jagger Firkus scored twice and Matthew Savoie scored once for Moose Jaw.

Starting Warriors netminder Evan May saved 13 of 17 shots while backup goalie Jackson Unger saved 13 of 15 shots.


EDMONTON — Gavin Hodnett knocked in the game-winner at 19:50 in the third period as the Oil Kings edged the Hitmen.

Marshall Finnie, Gracyn Sawchyn, Luke Powell, Ty Nash and Gavin Hodnett all scored once for Edmonton.

Oil Kings goaltender Hudson Perry stopped 26 of 30 shots in the win.

Carter Yakemchuk had two goals while both Oliver Tulk and Maxim Muranov scored once for Calgary.

Hitmen goaltender Ethan Buenaventura saved 23 of 28 shots.
