The Las Vegas Aces are retaining the 2019 No. 1 overall pick.
The Aces are finalizing an agreement for Jackie Young to return to the franchise, sources told ESPN's Alexa Philippou.
The deal is expected to be for one year at the regular max ($1.19 million), per Philippou.
Young has been with the Aces her entire career, making four all-star teams and two All-WNBA teams. She also won the 2022 Most Improved Player award.
The six-foot guard played a key role in the Aces winning three WNBA championships in the last four years, including the 2025 title.
Young averaged 16.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.3 steals across 44 games last season. She then turned it up in the playoffs, posting 20.4 points per game on 49.4 per cent shooting en route to the championship.
The Aces bringing back Young is the first step in retaining their Big 3. Young's cohorts A'ja Wilson, the 2025 WNBA MVP, and Chelsea Gray are also free agents.
