The Los Angeles Sparks will arrive in Toronto on Thursday without their best player available.
Kelsey Plum has suffered a lower-leg injury, the team announced on Wednesday. The injury will be reevaluated in four weeks.
Plum has had a hot start to her eighth season in the league. The four-time all-star is averaging 23.9 points, 2.2 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 1.2 steals over 12 games. The 31-year-old guard is second in the league for average points per game, after only A'ja Wilson.
Plum missed three games with a right ankle sprain she sustained in practice earlier this season.
The Sparks are 8-8 on the season and will face the Toronto Tempo on Thursday. The Tempo are looking to get back to .500 after dropping Monday's game to the Atlanta Dream. These two teams have met twice already this season, with each taking one win.
