Marina Mabrey's season is officially done.
The Toronto Tempo announced on Wednesday that their star guard will miss the remainder of the season with a right adductor injury.
Mabrey won't require surgery, the team added, and is expected to make a full recovery.
She's been out since a 101-95 Tempo defeat to the Indiana Fever on Aug. 18.
The 30-year-old enjoyed a career year upon being selected sixth overall by the Tempo in the 2026 WNBA expansion draft, averaging 20.8 points per game and shooting 38.5 per cent from deep in 32 games played on her way to being named an all-star for the first time in her career.
As part of her outstanding season, Mabrey tied the WNBA single-game scoring record of 53 on June 25 against the Los Angeles Sparks.
Mabrey joins fellow Tempo players Brittney Sykes and Aneesah Morrow, who were shut down for the season earlier with injuries.
It's been a tough inaugural season for Toronto in the WNBA. The team sits with just an 11-29 record and is already eliminated from post-season contention.
In positive news, however, the Tempo feature the second-greatest odds to win the No. 1 overall pick in the 2027 WNBA Draft, a draft that's expected to see USC star guard JuJu Watkins go first overall.
