The Toronto Tempo are one step closer to setting their opening-day roster.
Forward Elizabeth Balogun has been waived, the team announced on Saturday.
Toronto will have to make three more cuts ahead of its franchise opener at home against the Washington Mystics on Friday to get down to the maximum roster size of 12.
Nigeria's Balogun, 25, averaged nine points and 2.5 rebounds across two pre-season games, both Tempo losses.
She was with the team on a training-camp deal.
Toronto's pre-season schedule is done after falling 83-78 against the Connecticut Sun and 73-66 against the Minnesota Lynx.
