The Toronto Tempo's newest player and leading scorer are both ready for action on Tuesday.
Recent trade deadline acquisition Aneesah Morrow and all-star Marina Mabrey are both listed as available for the Tempo's game against the Golden State Valkyries on Tuesday, according to the WNBA's latest injury report.
Morrow was acquired from the Connecticut Sun for a 2028 second-round pick and the rights to forward Maria Kliundikova on Friday. She sat out the Tempo's game against the Valkyries on Sunday due to return-to-play conditioning.
Morrow, 23, is a second-year forward known for her proficiency on the glass. She's averaging 11.6 points, 8.9 rebounds (2.7 offensive rebounds) and 1.7 assists in 23.2 minutes per game this season.
She has suited up for 20 games this season — starting nine — having missed a six-game stretch earlier in July with a leg issue and for personal reasons.
Drafted seventh overall by the Sun in 2025, Morrow led the league in defensive rebounding percentage in her rookie year at 31.9 per cent.
Meanwhile, Mabrey returns after also sitting against the Valkyries on Sunday due to a neck injury.
It was the second game Mabrey missed this season, also sitting out on June 27 against the Phoenix Mercury after dealing with muscle spasms in her neck during warmups.
The 29-year-old is averaging a career-high 20.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.7 assists over 27 games while shooting 38.7 per cent on 8.3 three-point attempts. Mabrey ranks fifth in the league in points per game and first in threes (3.2).
