The Toronto Tempo have lost its starting point guard to an injury.
Julie Allemand injured her groin in Friday's game against the Los Angeles Sparks and was ruled out for the remainder of the night.
Allemand played 21 minutes before leaving with the injury, scoring five points on four shot attempts with four assists and two steals.
Allemand was the Tempo's first pick in the expansion draft from the Sparks. First-round draft pick Kiki Rice and veteran Brittney Sykes will be counted on for ball-handling duties with Allemand out.
The Tempo continue their road trip with another game in Los Angeles on Sunday, plus stops in Phoenix and Minnesota.
