The Toronto Tempo announced Monday that they have signed Ornella Bankole to a developmental contract.
The five-foot-11 wing joins the Tempo fresh off a 2025-2026 season competing with Spain's Casademont Zaragoza, where she helped them secure a Spanish League regular season title and finals appearance.
In 52 games of Spanish League and EuroLeague action, the 28-year-old averaged 7.6 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 17.4 minutes per game.
She had a season-high 21-point game during Zaragoza's recent playoff appearance, averaging 11.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists across six post-season games during that run.
Bankole also has experience competing at the national level, representing France's senior national team and helping them reach the silver medal at the FIBA EuroBasket Women's championship in 2019.
Bankole joins a Tempo team currently sporting a 9-10 record in its inaugural season.
The team currently has 15 developmental game activations remaining, which can provide Bankole a chance to give the roster a boost amid injury concerns.
