Brock Lesnar is stepping out of the ring for good.
The longtime WWE star announced Tuesday during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show that he is retiring.
The announcement follows his loss to Oba Femi at WWE's SummerSlam on Saturday.
Lesnar, who is a hulking six-foot-three and 266 pounds, gave Femi a hug after the bout and told the audience that his opponent is the future of WWE.
"I'm here today to do this interview to let the world and everybody know that I am retired, and I wanted to say a big thank you to everybody. Saturday was a very emotional day for me," Lesnar said to McAfee on Tuesday. "Saturday, for Brock Lesnar, that's it. That's it for me in the squared circle, and for everything else too."
Since making his main roster debut in March 2002, Lesnar has many achievements, including becoming a seven-time WWE world champion, three-time WWE Universal champion and a two-time Royal Rumble winner.
Apart from his wrestling career, Lesnar also achieved success in MMA, with a professional record of 5-3-1 and a UFC heavyweight title in 2008 at UFC 91.
