Former NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski is reportedly making a return to sport, although it won’t be on the gridiron.

A report from Pro Wrestling Sheet’s Ryan Satin says Gronkowski is nearing a deal with the WWE.

Details of the deal were not available, although the 30-year-old previously participated at WrestleMania 33 in 2017.

Gronkowski retired from the New England Patriots last March after nine seasons, three Super Bowl victories and five Pro Bowl appearances.

He has spent the past year serving as a TV analyst for NFL broadcasts along with doing promotional work for various companies.
