Hockey world reacts to back-to-back Canadian gold at Women’s Worlds

The Women’s World Hockey Championship final was yet another clash between Canada and the United States.

A close game until the very end, Canada took home its first back-to-back Women’s Worlds gold in 18 years with a 2-1 win on Sunday in Denmark.

Netminder Ann-Renee Desbiens stood tall with crucial saves late in the game to keep the score at 2-1. Canadian hockey great Marie-Philip Poulin blocked a shot in the final seconds of the game to ensure that her team took home the gold medal.
