Add J.P. Arencibia’s name to the list of Toronto Blue Jays players that will be taking part in the upcoming World Baseball Classic.

On Tuesday the Toronto Blue Jays catcher tweeted that he will be representing the United States in the March 2-19 event after speaking with Team USA manager Joe Torre earlier this week.

The full U.S. roster will be announced Jan. 17 at 10 a.m. ET, while the rosters for the other 15 participating nations will be revealed later that day at 4 p.m. ET.

Team Canada announced their 23-man provisional WBC roster last Saturday in Toronto.

Arencibia will be joined on Team USA by fellow Toronto Blue Jay R.A. Dickey, who committed to the tournament last week.

Other Toronto Blue Jays expected to take part in the event include Brett Lawrie (Canada), Jose Reyes (Dominican Republic) and Edwin Encarnacion (Dominican Republic).
