Fresh off the first playoff appearance in 22 years, the Toronto Blue Jays announced that ticket prices will increase for the 2016 season, both for premium and regular season games.
The team made the announcement on Tuesday in a media release, which also included the promotional schedule for next season.
It’s only the second time in six seasons that the club has increased ticket prices. Fans can expect regular season ticket prices to increase $3 to $6 (excluding In-The-Action Seats) and premium game tickets to increase $4 to $10 each. The increase averages to just over 10 per cent. Tickets will remain available in the under-$20 range for 500-level seats, and Jr. Jays Saturdays will still be an option for families.
The upcoming 2016 season will mark the 40th anniversary of the franchise. As part of the promotional schedule, the team will commemorate the season by honouring great moments and players from Blue Jays history during games on May 29, Jul. 10 and Aug. 14.
Tickets will officially go on sale to the general public on Feb. 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., and renewals for Season Ticket and Flex Pack holders will start November 19.
