Blue Jays’ Class-A advanced affiliate wins Florida State League

Connor Panas hit a pair of home runs as the Dunedin Blue Jays defeated the Tampa Yankees 5-3 on Wednesday night to win the Class-A advanced Florida State League.

D.J. Davis went 2-for-4 while driving in a pair of runs with a double in a three-run ninth inning for the Blue Jays, who are Toronto’s minor-league affiliate.

T.J. Zeuch started for Dunedin and allowed one unearned run on one hit over 4.1 innings. Zach Jackson earned the win after combining with Conor Fisk to go the rest of the way in relief.

The two teams had to complete a game earlier in the day which the Blue Jays won 4-1.

The Dunedin roster features highly-touted Blue Jays prospects such as Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

Tampa is an affiliate of the New York Yankees.
