The Toronto Blue Jays have signed right-handed pitcher Deck McGuire to a minor-league contract with an invitation to Major League camp.

McGuire, 28, was originally a first-round pick by the Blue Jays in 2010. He was traded to the Oakland Athletics in 2014 and has also spent time in the minor league systems with the St. Louis Cardinals and Cincinnati Reds.

He made his MLB debut last season with the Cincinnati Reds, appearing in six games in September including two starts. He spent most of last season with the Double-A Pensacola Blue Wahoos where he posted a 9-9 record with a 2.79 ERA in 27 starts.
