Injured Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Marcus Stroman had fans waiting on pins and needles this morning when he took to Twitter to announce ‘extremely exciting news.’
Stroman tore his ACL on March 10, and has since undergone what doctors deemed to be season-ending surgery.
Supporters of the team were hoping the star in the making would reveal an injury update, with many even inferring that the 23-year-old would be available to pitch at some point this season, despite the original prognosis.
It turns out the tweet was just one giant tease.
That’s right, Stroman’s big news appears to be the release of a new baseball card.
