It seems everybody in Toronto has caught Blue Jays fever these days, including those who don’t call “The Six” home for all 12 months of the year.
With the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre with a chance to sweep away the Texas Rangers and punch their ticket to the American League Championship Series Sunday, the Toronto Raptors, it would seem, just couldn’t resist heading down to the ballpark.
The Raptors will be in attendance for Game 3 and tweeted out a video cheering on the Blue Jays in advance of the game.
It should be noted that of the seven players featured in the video only Cory Joseph is likely a true-blue fan of the Jays as he grew up in the Greater Toronto Area in Pickering, Ont. Also noteworthy is the fact the Raptors somehow convinced Kyle Lowry, a Philadelphia native, to wear a Devon White jersey, despite White’s key role in the 1993 Blue Jays’ World Series victory over the Phillies.
