Eskimos acquire Brian Simmons from Tiger-Cats

HAMILTON – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have traded international offensive lineman Brian Simmons to the Edmonton Eskimos for a conditional seventh-round draft pick in 2017.

The 30-year-old started one game at right tackle this season for the Ticats.

Simmons, a six-foot-five, 310-pound native of Raleigh, N.C., played in 61 games, including Grey Cup appearances in 2013 and 2014, over five seasons in Hamilton.

He was named an East Division all star and the Tiger-Cats most outstanding lineman last season.
