Montreal Alouettes assistant general manager Marcel Desjardins is expected to be named general manager of Ottawa’s expansion team on Wednesday, according to Sportsnet’s Arash Madani.

Desjardins was the GM of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats from 2006 to 2007 before joining the Alouettes in his current role. He also worked for Montreal from 1999-2006.
Desjardins has worked in the #CFL office and was a GM in the past (#Ticats). Football fans in Ottawa now know the guy who will direct them.
