Milan Lucic won the Memorial Cup with the Vancouver Giants in 2007 and was also named the tournament MVP. The following season he joined the Boston Bruins, who won the Stanley Cup in 2011.

No, Sidney Crosby doesn’t make it on this list as his Rimouski Oceanic team lost the 2005 Memorial Cup to David Bolland and the London Knights. Five years later as a member of the Chicago Blackhawks, Bolland hoisted the Stanley Cup.

Corey Perry was also a member of the London Knights’ 2005 Memorial Cup winning team and was named the tournament MVP. Two seasons later, Perry won the Stanley Cup with the Anaheim Ducks.

Gregory Campbell led all scorers at the 2003 Memorial Cup with one goal and six assists. The Kitchener Rangers won all four of their games to claim the Cup. Campbell joined the Boston Bruins for the 2010-11 season and won the Stanley Cup.

Brad Richards not only won the Memorial Cup and the Stanley Cup but he was also named MVP of both championships too. Richards guided the Rimouski Oceanic to the big show in 2000 and helped the Tampa Bay Lightning to Lord Stanley’s trophy in 2004.

The Portland Winterhawks drafted Marian Hossa after he was taken by the Ottawa Senators in the NHL Entry Draft, just in case he didn’t stick with the big club. It worked as Hossa was sent down and helped guide the team to the Memorial Cup in 1998. It took Hossa three consecutive seasons in the final with three different teams before he won the Stanley Cup. He came close with Pittsburgh in 2008 and Detroit in 2009 (coincidentally losing to Pittsburgh) before he struck gold with Chicago in 2010.

Colin White won the Memorial Cup with the Hull Olympiques in 1997. The stay-at-home defender won two Stanley Cups with the New Jersey Devils (2000 and 2003).

Brad Lukowich won back-to-back Memorial Cups with the Kamloops Blazers in 1994 and 1995. Lukowich was with the Dallas Stars during the 1998-99 season but did not play enough playoff games to qualify to have his name on the Stanley Cup. In 2004, as a member of the Tampa Bay Lightning, Lukowich finally had his name etched into the Stanley Cup.

Scott Niedermayer’s trophy case could fill a museum. His accomplishments include a Memorial Cup with the Kamloops Blazers in 1992 as well as four Stanley Cups — three with the New Jersey Devils (1995, 2000 and 2003) and one with the Anaheim Ducks (2007).
