TORONTO (June 19, 2013) – The next stage of competition begins now as Sportsnet and Gillette Canada today announce the names of the top 24 Gillette DRAFTED hopefuls, vying to become Canada’s next top sportscaster and face of Gillette in Canada. (full list below).

Following auditions in Calgary, Halifax, Vancouver and Toronto, as well as online, the group of 24 Canadian sportscaster hopefuls will now be tasked with building their own personal online presence to encourage public voting. Fans can watch the candidates’ auditions and vote for their favourite hopeful up to six times daily beginning today at Drafted.ca .

For the first time in the show’s five-year history, a unique twist has been added to the competition: an additional 25th spot is now available through online auditions, providing one last chance for another Canadian to score their dream job. Potential candidates have until July 31 to submit a two-minute video petition to secure the 25th and final spot in Gillette DRAFTED’s Boot Camp in August, where all 25 hopefuls will face a series of rigorous challenges, online sports trivia and social media obstacles.
