Flyers defenceman Luke Schenn may be hearing from the league after this hit from behind on Wings Justin Abdelkader.

Philadelphia Flyers defenceman Luke Schenn might receive a call from Brendan Shanahan to discuss the dangerous hit he delivered on Red Wings forward Justin Abdelkader Wednesday night in Detroit.

As of Thursday morning, there was no word yet whether the NHL’s department of player safety would tap Schenn for a hearing.

Schenn received a two-minute charging penalty on the play.

Abdelkader was slow to get up with the assistance of a trainer but remained in the game, which the Red Wings lost 6-3.
