MONTREAL — Montreal Canadiens defenceman Mike Komisarek will be out for at least another month after already missing more than a week with what the team is calling an upper-body injury.
Head coach Guy Carbonneau told reporters Friday that a second opinion after swelling on the hulking defenceman’s injury revealed the bad news.
The injury is believed to be a right elbow injury, but the hockey club did not release further detail on the exact nature of the injury.
Komisarek, 26, suffered the injury following a fight with Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic on Nov. 13.
Komisarek has one goal in 14 games this year.
