Blues’ Nail Yakupov to be healthy scratch vs. Predators

Jaden Schwartz scored twice to get the Blues a 3-2 win over the Sharks.

Nail Yakupov is expected to be a healthy scratch yet again on Saturday as the St. Louis Blues host the Nashville Predators.

This would mark the fifth time in eight games that the 23-year-old has had to sit out.

Since being acquired by the Blues from the Edmonton Oilers on Oct. 7, Yakupov has struggled, scoring just four points (two goals, two assists) in 14 games.

Forward Ty Rattie is expected to draw back into the lineup for Yakupov.

Rattie has been a healthy scratch in all but one of the team’s games this season, and has eight points (four goals, four assists) in 27 career NHL games.

The Blues (9-6-3) will host the Predators (7-6-3) Saturday.
