Blues recall Magnus Paajarvi from AHL Chicago Wolves

St. Louis Blue GM Doug Armstrong joined Hockey Central at Noon, touching on his team’s great start to the season, keeping Ken Hitchcock as coach, and battling a vicious injury bug.

The St. Louis Blues have recalled forward Magnus Paajarvi from their American Hockey League affiliate, Chicago Wolves, the club announced via official release.

Paajarvi has scored four goals and seven points in seven games with the Wolves this season.

The 24-year-old was placed on waivers by the Blues in September.

Paajarvi played in just 10 games with the Blues in 2014-15, registering one assist in those contests. The former first round pick (10th overall, 2009) of the Oilers was acquired along with a 2014 second round draft choice in a trade that sent David Perron to Edmonton.

The Blues are currently without forwards Patrik Berglund (shoulder), Paul Stastny (foot), and Jaden Schwartz (ankle).
