Blues’ Langenbrunner out for rest of season

St. Louis Blues forward Jamie Langenbrunner will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing successful hip surgery.

The Blues executive vice-president and general manager Doug Armstrong made the announcement Friday.

Langenbrunner suited up for four games this season, registering one assist. In 1,109 career NHL games the Cloquet, Min., native has 243 goasl and 663 points.

The 37-year-old’s procedure was performed by doctors John Clohisy and Matt Smith who are orthopedic surgeons with the Washington University School of Medicine, Department of Orthopedics.
