The Winnipeg Jets have claimed forward Brett MacLean off waivers, the team announced on Thursday.
MacLean spent the majority of last season with the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League, recording 23 goals and 27 assists in 51 games.
In 13 appearances with the Phoenix Coyotes in 2010-2011, he tallied three points.
Hockey returns to Winnipeg when the Jets open their season at home against the Montreal Canadiens on Oct. 9.
