Carolina Hurricanes general manager Jim Rutherford is not happy with Tomas Kaberle and he wants everyone to know about it.
In a recent XM Radio interview on NHL Open Ice, Rutherford said: “Tomas Kaberle better pick up his game or he won’t be in Carolina long.”
Kaberle, a longtime Toronto Maple Leaf, won a Stanley Cup with the Boston Bruins last season. The Czech defenceman signed with Carolina as an unrestricted free agent in the summer.
Since joining the Hurricanes, the 33-year-old has struggled mightily. In 25 games this season Kaberle has zero goals, a mere five assists, and is minus-12.
Carolina recently fired its head coach Paul Maurice, replacing him with Kirk Muller in an attempt to turn things around.
If you were the Hurricanes GM would you trade Tomas Kaberle?
