Another scrimmage, another fight at Toronto Maple Leafs training camp

Following a small dust-up Saturday in the team’s opening scrimmage, forward Jay Rosehill got into again, this time with defenceman Mike Komisarek, as the two dropped their gloves at centre ice and threw punches during a white vs. blue scrimmage game Monday morning.

Sportsnet’s Arash Madani also reported that expletives were exchanged, as the Leafs prepared for their exhibition opener Tuesday night against the Ottawa Senators.

Watch the Leafs-Senators pre-season game Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET on Sportsnet Ontario.

Later in Monday’s practice, Luca Caputi and Mike Brennan engaged in a weak scuffle in the neutral zone that ended before it began.

Rosehill exchanged blows with Michael Liambas Saturday after Liambas took exception to a hit from behind to teammate Carl Gunnarson. The players were told not to fight, but Leafs coaching staff was okay with the show of emotion while standing up for another player.

NOTES: Leafs coach Ron Wilson said he hopes to trim the roster down to 26 or 27 players by the end of the weekend.
