Lightning sign Mike Halmo to two-way deal

Josh Bailey scored a goal and assist to help the Islanders hand the Panthers their fourth-straight loss.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed free agent forward Mike Halmo to a one-year, two-way contract.

Halmo had spent his entire professional career with the New York Islanders organization after signing with them as an undrafted free agent in 2012.

He played in 74 games with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers last year, scoring 22 goals and finishing with 41 points.

The 25-year-old played in 20 games for the Islanders in the 2014-15 season, scoring his only NHL goal against the Florida Panthers which you can watch in the highlights above.
