The 19-year-old defenceman, who was drafted 19th overall by the Oilers in 2011, had three assists and a plus-7 rating in 11 games this season with Farjestad of the Swedish Elite League. Klefbom apparently injured his shoulder when he fell reaching for the puck while being hit.
The 6-foot-3, 205-pound defenceman is expected to be ready for Oilers training camp next season.
