New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist says he felt discomfort in his left shoulder after stopping a shot by Boston Bruins forward Daniel Paille in the third period of Sunday’s game.

“It’s my shoulder, we’ll see,” Lundqvist told reporters after the Rangers’ Game 2 loss. “We’ll take a look at it.”

Lundqvist appears to have hurt his shoulder while extending to cover the puck after saving Paille’s shot with his chest. The 31-year-old stayed down momentarily before getting to his feet and stretching out his left arm.

Lundqvist finished the game and didn’t have an ice pack on his shoulder while addressing the media.
