Because many of you are asking the answer is that all other teams Philly, NY, Pitt, Buffalo, LA, San Jose are out. It’s Phx or Vancouver — John Gambadoro (@Gambo620) September 14, 2012

Gambadoro is the one who has been at the forefront in announcing the list of clubs interested in Doan.
For an NHL contract to qualify under the current collective bargaining agreement, it must be signed Friday, as the CBA expires on Sept. 15.
Doan has repeatedly stated his desire to remain captain of the Phoenix Coyotes, but his signing has been delayed due to the team’s insecure ownership. Since becoming a free agent July 1, Doan has emerged as the last prized player available. He’s received interest from 16 teams, six of them issuing official offers.
“Shane is going to sign a contract before the CBA expires on the 15th,” Terry Bross, Doan’s agent, told the Arizona Republic in late August. “(Ownership has to) be done before the 15th, otherwise we’re signing somewhere because we don’t know what the new CBA is going to look like, and I don’t know if it’s going to limit any scope of a contract, so we want to make sure we sign before then.
“I guess from that respect, time is ticking.”
Potential Coyotes buyer Greg Jamison has yet to close a deal.
“Glendale is looking to rework the lease agreement deal that was agreed to,” writes Gambadoro, “and that hangup is causing a delay in the purchase.”
