Buffalo Sabres forward Evander Kane‘s relationship with model Mara Teigen was apparently on the fritz…until he surprised her by taking out a billboard ad for her on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood over the weekend.

Teigen, who spoke to TMZ, referred to Kane as “a good guy,” and called the stunt “cute.” She’s forgiven him for whatever sent their union into a state of turmoil.

Teigen is represented by Wilhelmina Models out of Los Angeles.

Kane is set to begin his first season with the Sabres. The 24-year-old was traded to Buffalo in February following an incident with his former Winnipeg Jets teammates that led to him skipping a game.

Kane and Teigen often appear in each other’s Instagram photos, and it looks like you can expect more social media content from this pair in the future.
