Sabres’ Robin Lehner day-to-day with hip injury

The Eichel tower is back in a big way in Buffalo. After missing the start of the season due to injury, Jack Eichel made a big impression in his first game back with an assist and a goal in the first period.

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Robin Lehner has left Tuesday’s game against the Ottawa Senators with a hip injury.

Lehner left the ice late in the first period and did not come out for the second.

The Sabres announced after the game that the 25-year-old is day-to-day.

He played in just 21 games last season for Buffalo after suffering a high-ankle sprain in the 2015-16 season opener.
