Teuvo Teravainen to miss time with injury

The Chicago Blackhawks were the last man standing as a back-and-forth game saw Marian Hossa score an overtime goal that snapped the tie to edge the Edmonton Oilers 4-3.

Chicago Blackhawks forward Teuvo Teravainen is expected to miss a couple of games, according to coach Joel Quenneville.

Teravainen played just 5:33 minutes against the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday, before exiting the game with an upper-body injury.

Andrew Desjardins is expected to take his place in Chicago’s lineup.

The 21-year-old has nine points in 18 games in his sophomore season. He was drafted by the Blackhawks in the first round, 18th overall, in the 2012 Entry Draft.

Chicago’s next game is Friday night in Calgary, their second of six straight on the road.
