Tom Hanks, Martin Short yell support for Bulldogs

Michael Andlauer joined Hockey Central at Noon to talk about his selling of the AHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs and purchase of the Belleville Bulls, who he will move to Hamilton.

In what may go down as the most curious Ontario Hockey League promo spot ever, Oscar winner Tom Hanks and Emmy winner Martin Short shout “Go Bulldogs!” and make aggressive referee calls.

A furious 15 seconds of untamed energy that begs more questions than it answers.

“Leaves you pumped and very confused,” writes YouTube commentator and Hamilton Bulldogs ticket-buyer Matthew Gluck in an accurate review.

A former pro team of the American Hockey League (and affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens), Hamilton has moved to the OHL.

The Bulldogs’ home opener goes Sept. 26. at FirstOntario Centre. No word yet if Hanks and Short will be in attendance.
