Flyers sign forward Denver Barkey to three-year, entry-level contract

The Philadelphia Flyers have signed forward Denver Barkey to a three-year, entry-level contract that is set to begin in the 2024-25 season, the team announced Sunday.

Barkey, 18, was drafted by the Flyers in the third round (95th overall) of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft out of the London Knights in the OHL.

He has remained with the Knights this season, scoring 31 goals and notching 87 points in 56 games. He leads the team in goals, assists and points this season. The Knights sit first overall in the OHL with a 43-13-4 record.

In international play, the native of Newmarket, Ont. won a gold medal with Team Canada at the 2022 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, recording four points in five games.
