Bautista was replaced by outfielder Ezequiel Carrera in the bottom of the sixth inning after reaching base on a walk. Prior to the at-bat, Bautista told manager John Gibbons “he didn’t think he could run much,” the Blue Jays skipper revealed after the game. He will be reevaluated on Friday.

The 35-year-old was 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI single to go with a pair of walks before exiting the game.

Bautista has appeared in all but one game for the Blue Jays this season and boasts a slash line of .234/.369/.477 to go with 12 home runs, 40 RBI and an AL-leading 47 walks.
