The Toronto Blue Jays have claimed left-handed pitcher Sam Moll on waivers from the Seattle Mariners, the team announced Saturday.

Moll has spent the majority of his career in the minors but made 11 appearances with the Oakland Athletics last season, sporting a 10.80 ERA over 6.2 innings pitched.

The 26-year-old was originally drafted in the third round by the Colorado Rockies but was traded to the Athletics in 2017, who eventually designated him for assignment. He was then picked up by the Pittsburgh Pirates, who also DFA’d him, causing the Mariners to try him out before they too designated him for assignment.

Earlier on Saturday, Toronto also announced the signing of veteran infielder Danny Espinosa to a minor-league contract.
