Blue Jays’ Stroman leaves game vs. Red Sox with right middle finger blister

Toronto Blue Jays starter Marcus Stroman talks about his ongoing issues with blisters and facing a dangerous Boston Red Sox lineup.

Toronto Blue Jays starter Marcus Stroman left Tuesday’s game before the start of the eighth inning against the Boston Red Sox with a right middle finger blister, the team announced.

Stroman was checking his finger after throwing a warmup pitch which prompted Blue Jays trainer Nikki Huffman to come out of the dugout to inspect his hand.

Ryan Tepera was brought in to replace Stroman in the top of the eighth inning with the Blue Jays leading 3-1.
