The Toronto Blue Jays selected Louisville outfielder Zach Britton with their final pick in the 2020 MLB Draft.
All five selections Toronto made over the two-day draft were college players, highlighted by first-rounder Austin Martin.
Britton slashed an impressive .322/.446/.542 in 17 games with Louisville this season and led all of Division 1 with 11 doubles. He posted an .837 OPS with five home runs in 55 NCAA contests in 2019.
The 21-year-old played exclusively in the outfield in 2020, but has also seen time at first base and catcher during his development.
What experts are saying about the pick
Via BA, Britton "has a pretty lefthanded swing with good bat speed and some impressive exit velocity numbers" and "his power has been more doubles than over-the-fence." Sounds like a likely LF

Toronto's Last Pick is Zach Britton, and this might've been their best pick today value wise. Plays C, could be UTL type and play 3B/LF. Loose compact swing, all-fields approach, 176th player on my board. pic.twitter.com/9yciKWrttY
