Reds option LHP John Lamb after big loss to Brewers

CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Reds optioned pitcher John Lamb to Triple-A Louisville and recalled outfielder Kyle Waldrop on Sunday.

Lamb is 1-7 with a 6.43 ERA after allowing nine runs in two innings of the Reds’ 9-1 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday. He was 0-4 over his last eight starts since his only win on June 1 at Colorado.

Waldrop is in his third stint with the Reds this season. He hit .313 in nine games in his previous two stretches with Cincinnati.
